I’m Katie, a doctor who specialised in treating children and babies, now turned mother. Through this journey into motherhood, I discovered there was so much more to learn as a doctor, and now feel in a unique position to help other parents as they navigate through the challenges of having a baby and beyond.
My first baby had a severe form of Cows’ Milk Protein Allergy (more later), which inspired me to write this blog. Despite having nearly two decades of medical experience, I still found it incredibly challenging to sift through the vast array of conflicting information available, to find evidence based, or at worst sensible opinion, especially when we were discharged from hospital.
Each blog post is focused on a particular topic or challenge, with explanation of some common medical terminology and designed to hopefully be easily digestible for the sleep-deprived parent!
Each baby is different, and the information in this blog is for information only and not intended to replace the advice from your medical practitioner. If you are concerned about your baby or child, please seek medical attention.
